Thought:

Elder Kearon was serving as a new branch president. The missionaries in their branch in England set a specific goal to double their typical 30 friends at church to 60 by Christmas (it was August). Through sacrifice, unified prayer, invitations, etc they invited many. On the last Sunday of the year, when the meeting began, they had 54 friends at church. Excited, but slightly disappointed that they didn’t meet their goal, they started the meeting. During the meeting a family of 6 came.  A specific goal led to a specific miracle.  60!

Be sure to make specific goals so that specific miracles can be wrought!

Misc:

Prayerfully consider how many souls you want to bring back to Christ during your mission and set your goal. Make it so big that you won’t be able to do it without God’s help, and that you won’t ever be able to accidentally take credit for it. Write it down. Share it. Make a sticker for it and put it on the back of your name tag, or mirror, or scriptures, etc. This will be your fuel. This will help you avoid the unnecessary, ensure that you always remember Him, and remind you to exercise endless faith in him. Doing so, along with what you’ll find in Alma 26:22, will help you do what it takes to bring thousands of souls unto repentance. Generations of lives will be changed forever by your decision to feed his sheep. Your ongoing commitment to be worthy of the spirit, set big goals, teach, testify, promise, and invite others to come unto Christ will help you see miracles every day of your mission.

Invitation:

Review your list of friends, appointments, invitations and identify 3-5 that could use a miracle. Consider what goals you could set with them to bring about the miracles and then pick one of those invitations. Pray, plan and deliver that invitation and record the results in your journal.
