Thought:

“Be bold in your invitations.  One day, someone will thank you for being so bold!”

I think it was our local Mission President who shared this gem during a Stake Conference a few years ago.  It stuck with me in part because I recall making a number of invitations, but I wonder how many of them were bold.  Did I ever invite anyone in a bold enough manner that they decided to act upon it and change their lives for the better?  The great news is that in this work, unless you try to be, you are never alone.  The spirit is a far better teacher than we can ever be.  It’s better at inviting, reminding, encouraging, and a host of other things that we all wish that we were better at.

I’ve had a number of these invitations in my life and sure enough, I have gratitude in my heart for those who were so bold.  Bishop Collins, Nate Clark, Max, Jocko, Randy, Bishop Robinson, and many, many more.

You can be that person to someone else!

Misc:

Most of the greatest things that I have been a part of are a direct result of someone inviting me to do something.

Invitation:

You should already be inviting everyone everywhere to act in faith.  This week, focus on making the invitations BOLD.  It may be the one thing that changes the course of their life.
