General Conference Address:

“Give Thanks in All Things” Elder Dallin H Oaks CR 4/2003

Thought:

Giving thanks costs nothing and is priceless at the same time. If you have to be known for something, be known as someone who is truly grateful, always.

Misc:

People who choose to identify blessings and give thanks for them:

*Exercise more regularly

*More likely to make progress on personal goals

*Higher states of alertness and enthusiasm

*Determination, attentiveness and energy

*Experienced less discouragement, depression and stress

*More optimistic about the upcoming week

*Feel better about Life

*More positive attitude toward school and family

Invitation:

For a week (or longer), write out the answers to the following questions: What are you grateful for today? What was a big win yesterday and why was it a big win? Where did you come up short yesterday? What affected you the most emotionally yesterday? What are you determined to do better today? What is a big dream that would meaningfully improve your outlook, behavior and mental state?
