Thought:
Each week, you have 168 hours to live. After sleeping, that's 120 hours. That leaves about 120 hours to eat, read, exercise, serve, teach, learn, laugh, and love. If you invest that time wisely, the laws of compound interest will take over and you'll be truly wealthy. If you waste or just spend the time, there will be little to nothing left at the end. Just like with money, being intentional with time is key.
This is in part why we spent time planning. If we don’t tell our time where we need it to go, it will take us wherever it wants to go. We have to set goals and make plans so that we aren’t objects to be acted upon. We need to be agents who act!
Misc:
If you don’t choose God first, it will matter very little what you choose instead. The more famous version of this quote is “If you have not chosen the Kingdom of God first, it will in the end make no difference what you have chosen instead.” -William Law
Invitation:
When you sit down to plan for the week, think about doing things that matter, not just things that have to be done. Pick one or two things that you can do a little differently to make them investments, not just tasks.
