Week 6- There Are Only Two Choices
Scriptures:
John 14:6
General Conference Address:
“The Way” Elder Lawerence Corbridge CR 10/2008
Thought:
It’s been mistakenly taught that in the beginning, there were two plans presented. One from Jesus and one from Satan. In reality, there was only one plan presented, the father’s Plan of Salvation. Then, Satan rebelled against it, interjecting his own priestcraft and narcissism. It was about him, not the Father! “Behold, here and I, send me, I will be thy son, and I will redeem all mankind, that one soul shall not be lost, and surely I will do it, wherefore give me thine honor. (Moses 4:1)” Just look at how many times he says 'I' or 'Me'.
There is only one choice. Do the will of the Father to become like Him and authorize his full suite of blessings, or do it some other way and disqualify yourself from all of it. If you’re committed to being a good person anyway, why not do it His way and get more blessings?
Misc:
“The Lord’s way is not hard. Life is hard, not the gospel. “There is an opposition in all things,” everywhere, for everyone. Life is hard for all of us, but life is also simple. We have only two choices. We can either follow the Lord and be endowed with His power and have peace, light, strength, knowledge, confidence, love, and joy, or we can go some other way, any other way, whatever other way, and go it alone—without His support, without His power, without guidance, in darkness, turmoil, doubt, grief, and despair. And I ask, which way is easier?” “The Way” Elder Lawerence Corbridge CR 10/2008
