Thought:

Peacemaking can be interpreted in many ways. I often think about it as the opposite of contention. That certainly applies. It can also mean making peace–the opposite of chaos and despair-in someone's life. What we do, how we do it, and why we do it can literally make peace in the lives of those we serve or come into contact with. For example, inviting someone to live on a budget, build their food storage, or nurture their family relationships can all turn chaos and despair into peace. Inviting someone to read the scriptures, forgive an offender, or get baptized can bring peace to their lives.  Don’t just wait for war to be a peacemaker.

Misc:

Making peace isn't just about ending conflicts. It can also be about generating or providing feelings of temporal, physical, financial, or relational peace.

Invitation:

“In summary, I offer an invitation. Peacemaking demands action—what might that be, for each of us, starting tomorrow? Would you consider a one-week, three-step peacemaker plan?
